"I liked the sashimi and the wagyu beef that I got. Yuzu special roll - I liked the one with kingfish and salmon. Double crunch and volcanoe isn’t that good. Udon is also subpar according to others."

"Stunning food with super polite service - chicken yakatori was divine as was the wagyu beef and teriyaki salmon. Time for the owners to spend a few dollars on the environment is now overdue"

"A delightful surprise! It was a wet and wild Monday evening. My partner and I were craving Japanese food - goooood Japanese food. We rang our go to restaurant, unfortunately, their kitchen was closed. That was odd, it was only 815pm, then we realised it was a Monday night. We frantically googled Japanese restaurants in the city - closed, closing soon, open tmr morning, yada yada yada. Our stomachs grumbled, almost as if communicating to each other in stomach language saying 'why are we attached to these fools'. Suddenly, out of the Google Search results, a knight in sushi armour appeared. Yuza Pyrmont, down the road, and it had great reviews - we had to take a double look. Yep it was legit. We called the restaurant, and they confirmed they were still serving. A big sigh of relief exhaled from the both us. We set our Google Maps, and off we went into the direction of the karage land. As we opened the door, we were welcomed with a warm smile. We took our seats and was glad to be out of the rain. The menu was simple yet appetizing. They had the regular menu and the specials. We selected a few options from both. My partner and I love variety. Variety of dishes and variety of flavours. We chose school prawns, yuzu mushrooms, glazed eggplant, rainbow sushi, wagyu beef and yakitori. All dishes were quality and absolutely delicious. My personal favourite were the yuzu mushrooms, my partners was yakitori, which was barbecued to perfection. The restaurant was warm and cosy, and the service was second to none. It was our anniversary and I think they could tell it was a special night, so they played a bit of Lionel Richie in the background. We couldn't help but sing a long to a few. We highly recommend this place and defintely would go back. An absolute gem of a Japanese restaurant in a concrete jungle."
